By Robert Irby
James Wiseman
Former Memphis center James Wiseman is, to me, the most desirable prospect for the Charlotte Hornets.

Despite being unproven in only playing three games for the Tigers, Wiseman has arguably the highest upside of any player in the draft. At 7’1 with a 7’6 wingspan and incredible athleticism, Wiseman is a force on both ends of the floor.
In those three college games, Wiseman averaged 19.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks while shooting almost 77% from the floor.
He earned a 52.7 Player Efficiency Rating, which, if kept for the minimum required games, would have been the highest in NCAA history.
When looking at Charlotte’s young core that consists of Devonte’ Graham, Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges, PJ Washington, Malik Monk, and the Martin twins, there is plenty of potential for success. However, they are all guards/wings, meaning they are missing a big man inside.
Wiseman would be the perfect fit. He is a star in the making and would dominate the inside, clearing the way for all the Hornets young scorers to knock down open shots.
