Rozier is an Effective Scorer

What Terry Rozier has done on offense may be under-appreciated. Rozier has averaged a career-high 18.0 points per game, and he’s one of the two leading scorers on the Hornets.

After averaging 9.0 points per game last season with the Celtics, he’s made a significant jump with his offensive production. Rozier has averaged 34.3 minutes per game, and that’s a major increase since last season where he averaged 22.7.

With the minutes he received in Boston last season, Rozier managed to average 3.3 made shots per game. However, as a full-time starter in Charlotte, he’s raised his previous average to 6.3 made shots per game.

My favorite thing about Rozier’s improvements is how much he raised his field goal percentage too. Rozier shot 39% from the floor last season, but he’s significantly raised his field goal percentage to 42% this season.

Terry Rozier’s overall shooting is impressive, but his three-point shooting should be appreciated too. Rozier made a total of 335 threes in four seasons with the Celtics. In his first year with the Hornets, he’s already made over half that number with 172.

The amount of made threes from Rozier is impressive, but his shooting percentage from deep has also seen a huge improvement. After shooting 35% on threes last season, Rozier has raised his percentage to 41%.

Rozier has established himself as an efficient scorer when it comes to catch-and-shoot three-point opportunities, by shooting 46%. His offense should be a major reason why he stays in Charlotte.
