Projecting the Charlotte Hornets’ 2021 starting power forward: PJ Washington
To close, PJ Washinton will clearly be James Wiseman’s running-mate in the frontcourt. Washington proved many people wrong during his rookie season, and he’s continued to develop at a nice rate.

Washington finished his rookie season by averaging 12.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. His rookie season was easily one of the best ones by a Charlotte rookie since Kemba Walker was drafted. After his stellar rookie season, Washington can be expected to be the primary starter at the four spot next season.
While Washington may be a tad undersized, I think that Wiseman’s length and athleticism would fit well next to him. Having Washington and Wiseman in the frontcourt would allow Charlotte to stretch the floor even more, while also providing consistent rim-protection.
I think both of these players will do well on the glass next season if they are paired together. Charlotte needs more athletic bigs in the frontcourt, so I see the Washington-Wiseman duo working well.
The Charlotte Hornets have a lot of potential heading into this year’s draft. The team would benefit a lot by adding James Wiseman into their starting lineup.
