Are the Charlotte Hornets on their way to changing their fortunes after recent events?
I don’t know about all of you, but I am still in shock at the Charlotte Hornets’ *long-awaited* lottery luck. The Hornets went from a team looking lost with no plan in place last offseason, to a young team with a solid future in the span of only one season.

The draw of the third pick cemented this, but there is still FAR more work to be done. And it all starts with this offseason.
This offseason is a crucial one. Securing the 3rd pick with the 8th best odds is a blessing that the Hornets Front Office will most definitely graciously accept, as there were far worse outcomes from the lottery.
Even with this good luck being a blessing, it only puts more pressure on the Front Office to nail the draft.
The Hornets moved up into a premium spot to select the top talent from the draft and potentially add a future star and Franchise building block, something the Hornets desperately needed.
NBA Front Offices don’t get too many chances to add a (potentially) star talent to their team, which means nailing this draft could nearly COMPLETELY swing the Hornets fortunes around from what was looking like a very bleak future after a dreary offseason to building a potential winner in the future.
