The Charlotte Hornets drafted an incredibly talented group of promising players in this year’s NBA Draft.

The Hornets picked up players that filled the needs of the organization. The team came into the draft needing a sensational rookie and depth at the center position.

The team picked up LaMelo Ball, who will energize the roster with his great playmaking. Ball thrives at playmaking where he averaged about seven assists per game in the NBL. Ball is also a good shooter.

Vernon Carey Jr. was the steal of the NBA draft and gave the Hornets a promising rookie at the center position. Carey was a Wooden player of the year candidate and was one of the best players in college basketball. The Duke alum dominated the paint on both sides of the ball and averaged 17 points and eight rebounds per game.

The Hornets got a good haul in the draft and was the only team to earn an ‘A+’ out of the entire league according to USAToday’s NBA Draft grading. Swarm and Sting gave the organization a solid ‘A’ with their post-draft grading.
