Charlotte is expected to wear the uniforms for eight home games during the upcoming season. The exact games will be revealed next month, along with a special ticket package.

When it comes to retro/throwback uniforms, the Charlotte Hornets are at the top of the list. There is just that special something about the colors of the uniform combined with the time in which they came from which are just absolutely perfect. The right combination of nostalgia and an overall perfect uniform concept will make the eight games they are scheduled to wear their Classic Edition uniforms must-see TV, even for fans of other franchises.

This was and remains a very popular uniform from yesteryear. Perhaps the team could go all the way back, like several other franchises have, and make this their full-time look. It would be quite the series of events for a franchise that returned under a different moniker to fully return to their roots when it comes to their look on the court. Everything coming full circle and returning to their former uniforms seems pretty appropriate as the team looks to enter a new competitive cycle.
