A look into the Charlotte Hornets NBA Preseason matchups
The Charlotte Hornets open their preseason against the Toronto Raptors
Swarm City faces off against The North at Spectrum Center on both December 12th and 14th, where fans will get a glimpse of LaMelo Ball. Ball is an amazing playmaker and great at finishing around the rim.
The Hornets are one of the best in the league on both defense and at rebounding. The Hornets went 1-2 against the Raptors last season with their win being a one-possession game. The matchup wasn’t particularly exciting last season but after adding talented rookies and a previous All-Star, the lineup will be a lot more competitive against Toronto.
Matching up the likely starting lineups, the Hornets may have a slight edge over their competitors. Terry Rozier lining up against Kyle Lowry, who is one of the best playmakers in the league and is a seasoned vet. However, Devonte’ Graham will faceoff against Fred Vanvleet, where Vanvleet may be the overall better player the matchup is good because neither player is great on defense. At the wing position, Gordon Hayward will face off against OG Anunoby, where Hayward takes the edge. PJ Washington will matchup with Pascal Siakam, which is likely the most exciting of any matchups.
The Hornets play the Raptors at Spectrum Center for both games, where the Hornets have a major opportunity to win and show the league that the team’s talent should not be overlooked.
